Carter Brokaw joined iHeartMedia as president of digital revenue strategy. Previously, Brokaw served as executive vp at Guardian News and Media.

BMG appointed Peter Stack as executive vp of global catalogue recordings. The move comes seven months after BMG acquired the company Stack founded, Union Square Music, Europe’s leading reissues and catalogue specialist.

7digital’s chief commercial officer Pete Downtown joined the company’s board of directors.

Ticketmaster appointed Jeff Somers as chief product officer, Kat Frederick as svp, product strategy, Catherine Martin as vp, communications and Ismail Elshareef as vp, open platform and innovation.

The Country Radio Broadcasters completed their elections for the 2015-2016 Board of Directors: Charlie Morgan was re-elected as president, with R.J. Curtis (All Access Music Group) returning as vp, Carole Bowen (WKIS-FM) as secretary and Jeff Walker (The AristoMedia Group) as treasurer. New to the Board are: Kurt Johnson (Townsquare Media) and George Couri (Triple 8 Management). Appointed to the Board are: John Crenshaw (Cumulus Media), Keith Kaufman (Center Stage Promotions), Mike Culotta and Scott Huskey (RWPC).

Cumulus Media svp/programming WLS/Chicago Jan Jeffries announced a move to Washington D.C. to oversee programming for WRQX as PD.

John Smith, general secretary of the Musicians’ Union (MU) and president of the International Federation of Musicians (FIM), will succeed Fran Nevrkla OBE as Chairman of PPL on January 1, 2016. Nevrkla will retire at the end of 2015 following 15 years with the company.

Robert Ashcroft was named CEO of the new pan-EU licensing hub jointly run by PRS For Music (UK), GEMA (Germany), and STIM (Sweden). Ashcroft will also maintain his current role as CEO of PRS For Music.

Sony/ATV Nashville elevated Josh Van Valkenburg to the role of svp, Nashville A&R.

Syco Music appointed Michelle Marks as marketing director. Marks previously served as deputy managing director of Red Bee. 

Atlantic Records moved svp of A&R Steve Robertson to the Warner Music Group office on Music Row in Nashville.

DeJuan V. Wilson joined Soundcloud as vp of global marketing and brand. Wilson previously served as svp, brand strategy and creative marketing for the MTV2, MTVU and Logo Networks at Viacom. 

The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers & Authors (BASCA) appointed composer Stephen McNeff as its new Chairman. 

Producer Rodney Jerkins joined AfterMaster Audio as co-owner and senior member of the executive team.

SFX Entertainment president/COO Greg Consiglio was appointed president/CEO of Beatport.

MIDEM director Bruno Crolot announced his departure after four years. Jerome Delhaye, director of the Reed MIDEM Entertainment Division, was elevated to fill the role. 

Zel McCarthy, former editor-in-chief of Vice Media’s Thump, joined Beatport Media as vice president.

Elliott Lott of Boulder Creek Entertainment and John Ferriter of Alternative Management joined forces to co-manage Mike Love and The Beach Boys’ touring entity.

Comcast Spectacor announced that Dave Scott, the company’s president and COO, was elevated to president and CEO. 

Big Deal Music announced the creation and launch of a new entity – Global Music Initiatives – aimed to maximize opportunities for their songwriters and artists, leveraging data and emerging technologies. Mark Tindle will lead the new service, arriving from Musicmetric, where he served as svp of sales & business development for North America.

Marcy Polanco, formerly of BET Networks, joined CÜR Music as vp.

Epic Rights elevated Jesper Poulsen to vp of artist digital media & brand development, rising from his role as executive director of artist & brand development. 

Blackbird Production Partners named Hank Forsyth COO. He previously served as GM of Blue Note.
