Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. Q3 Profit Advances 159%

Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. (DO) released earnings for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $136.42 million, or $0.99 per share. This was up from $52.65 million, or $0.38 per share, in last year's third quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 17.3% to $609.74 million. This was down from $737.68 million last year.
