Morgans Hotel Group Opens Mondrian London at Sea Containers
The first Mondrian-branded hotel outside the United States, Mondrian London at Sea Containers represents the evolution of the Mondrian brand, offering guests and locals an urban boutique hotel experience that is youthful, energetic, and aspirational, while remaining distinctly authentic to its South Bank London location.

As the originator of the boutique hotel, Morgans Hotel Group once again showcases its considerable talent in crafting game-changing hotels, launching its first new property in the market since Morgans wowed London with Sanderson and St Martins Lane.

“We are proud and excited to introduce Mondrian London at Sea Containers to the world today.” said Jason Kalisman, Interim CEO of Morgans Hotel Group. “The combination of incredible design, amazing partners, and a one-of-a-kind building make this hotel a perfect match for what Morgans does best, and I believe the resulting product will be embraced by the local and international community.”

Taking inspiration from the original Mondrian properties, Mondrian London will be the social center of the emerging South Bank neighborhood, promising creators and innovators the ideal environment to both stay and play.

With interiors designed by Design Research Studio under the creative direction of Tom Dixon, Mondrian London showcases that Morgans Hotel Group is again at the forefront of design and style, which have been the company's hallmark since its first property debuted in October 1984. Embracing the building's heritage and inspired by the golden age of transatlantic travel, the hotel has several unique and awe-inspiring features including a dramatic, handcrafted copper hull sweeping from the entrance through the lobby into the heart of the hotel.

In addition to the 359 guest rooms and suites, which draw design inspiration from the transatlantic narrative, the hotel also features a 200-seat restaurant, Sea Containers, helmed by famed chef Seamus Mullen and multiple bar spaces, including Dandelyan, with drinks crafted by master mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana (aka Mr Lyan) and a soon-to-be-announced rooftop bar.

Accompanying the food and beverage offerings, the hotel features over 5,500 sq. ft. of stylish event venues, including a 56-seat screening room, that will play host to meetings, groups and events, from fashion shows to press junkets to film screenings and more.

Additionally, the hotel features a state-of-the-art spa. Concepted in line with the renegade origins and bold nature of the Mondrian brand, Agua Bathhouse & Spa will create a distinct social hub for guests, filled with exceptional experiences and treatments and featuring an exciting array of products, many of which are debuting to the global spa arena for the first time.

With its combination of breathtaking riverside views, distinct food and beverage offerings, and a bustling and eclectic urban vibe reflecting the local neighborhood, Mondrian is set to become London's hottest new destination.
