Comedy Central Promotes Rob O’Neill to SVP Programming & Promotion Strategy

Exec will oversee deployment of comedy brand’s original series and library content across all platforms

Comedy Central has promoted Rob O’Neill to senior vice president, programming & promotion strategy.

In his new role, O’Neill will oversee the content rollout of original series premieres, new season launches and stunts and tentpole events, including the annual Comedy Central Roast and biennial “Night of Too Many Stars” benefit for autism programs.

He’ll also manage the creative ideation and execution of programming and promotion strategies across all screens to maximize consumption and monetization of Comedy Central content.

O’Neill reports to Bernath.

O’Neill joined Comedy Central in 2013 as vice president, Programming & Promotion Strategy after spending three years at Time Warner as vice president of Programming for Cartoon Network & Boomerang.

Prior to that job, O’Neill spent 13 years in numerous programming roles with The Walt Disney Company.
