KB Home Offers New Homes at Windfield Community in Converse, Texas

KB Home, one of the nation’s largest and most recognized homebuilders, today announced that new KB homes are now available at the builder’s recently opened Windfield community in Converse, Texas, where homebuyers will have their choice of more than a dozen customizable one- and two-story floor plans and the opportunity to live within minutes of the area’s major highways and employment corridors.

Windfield’s established, convenient location near Loop 1604, IH-35, Loop 410 and IH-10 makes this community ideal for residents who want to live close to popular destinations like Fort Sam Houston, Randolph Air Force Base and Brooke Army Medical Center, and easily get to attractions throughout Central Texas. In addition, middle and high school students will be served by Wagner High School and Metzger Middle School that are both within walking distance of Windfield.

KB Home plans to construct a total of 115 single-family homes at Windfield from the builder’s celebrated Sterling collection. The thirteen one- and two-story floor plans available at Windfield range from 1,516 to 2,960 square feet, and can accommodate up to six bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths with two-car garages.

“From exquisite exteriors and curb appeal, to spacious living areas perfect for family gatherings and entertaining, the Sterling collection is a favorite among new homebuyers,” said Brett Dietz, president of KB Home’s San Antonio division. “With its incredible location and impressive home designs, we are excited to invite home shoppers to visit Windfield and discover everything this new neighborhood has to offer.”

Not only do the KB homes at Windfield include desirable décor elements such as open kitchens, flexible loft spaces, and large master bedroom suites, the KB homes offered at Windfield are also some of the most energy-efficient available today. All KB homes sold in San Antonio are ENERGY STAR® and Build San Antonio Green® (BSAG) certified, meaning they are designed to be more water- and energy-efficient than typical new and resale homes available in the area. The water- and energy-saving features built into every new KB home can also help homeowners save money on their monthly utility bills.

For example, the WaterSense® labeled faucets and fixtures included as standard in all KB homes are estimated to help homeowners conserve an average of 30,000 gallons of water and up to $300 annually on their utility bills compared to a home without these features. Built-in energy-saving components like high performance windows and insulation, programmable thermostats, and radiant barrier roofing all help contribute to potentially lower electricity costs for KB homeowners.
