NorthStar Realty Finance Posts Huge Loss In Q4 - Quick Facts

NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NRF) reported Cash available for distribution or CAD of $110.3 million, or $0.44 per share for the fourth quarter 2014. Net loss to common stockholders for the quarter widened significantly to $116.5 million, or $0.47 per share, from a $10.42 million or $0.08 per share loss, last year.

Three-month total property and other revenues surged to $296.55 million from $64.06 million a year earlier.

On February 26, 2015, NorthStar Realty said its board unanimously approved a plan to spin-off its European real estate business into a newly-formed publicly-traded REIT, NorthStar Realty Europe Corp., or NRE, expected to be listed on the NYSE and potentially in Europe.
