Decatur police arrest juvenile in robbery of Dollar General

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - Decatur police have arrested a juvenile for the robbery of a Dollar General that happened Monday night.

Police say the 15-year-old Hispanic male was arrested at his home and charged with robbery. The teen was then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Tuscumbia.

Police are continuing to search for the second suspect in the robbery who acted as a lookout for the teen.

The robbery happened Monday night around 9:30 at the Dollar General on Danville Road in Decatur. Police say that the juvenile suspect was carrying a large firearm and demanded money from the employee while the second suspect acted as a lookout at the store entrance. The two made away with an unknown amount of money.
