On Memorial Day, we honor those who have so honored us with their sacrifice and service to keep America free and strong.

Retailers, restaurants and attractions also salute our military heroes, offering discounts to veterans, active duty and retired U.S. military, National Guard and reservists and their families with ID through Monday. There are many offers for civilians, too.

It’s going to be a wet and sloppy weekend, but there are plenty of deals indoors to keep everyone busy.

Ace Hardware: Stores are giving away free flags on Saturday, no purchase required.

Allegiant Airlines: Free bag checks, boarding passes printed, seat assignments for active duty military, retired military veterans, members of the National Guard, military reserve and their dependents.

AAA: Free tipsy tow service for everyone on Memorial Day weekend Friday-Tuesday.

Apple: Special savings on Apple products for current, former and retired U.S. military, National Guard and reservists, government employees, contractors and family members of government entities. There are special offers on Apple Care Protection Plans, too.

Beall’s: $10 off $25 purchase; expires May 26.

Blue Star Museum Program: Free visits to 2,000 museums for military and their families starting Memorial Day through Labor Day with ID.

Blue Star Theater Program: Free and discounted movies for vets, active duty and their families at 170 national theaters.

Brides Across America: Free wedding dresses for military and first responder brides.

Butterfly World: $15 adult and $10 kids admission on May 25-28 for the inaugural flower show at the Coconut Creek attraction.

Costco Wholesale: Free $10 or $20 gift card with membership; expires Dec. 31.

Cinemark Theaters: Show military ID at participating theaters and get a special discount. Offers vary by location.

Delta Airlines: Free bags check for military personnel.

Corner Bakery Cafe: Free drink with purchase May 24-29.

Disney World Military Discount: 4-day Park Hopper passes for $196 for active, retired or spouses with ID.

GovX.com: Veterans, active duty, government employees and first responders get up to 40 percent discounts on major league sports tickets, including Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, Florida Panthers and Miami Heat, as well as concerts, travel, apparel and more with ID.

Home Depot: 10 percent off for veterans and their families on military holiday weekends and every day for active military and families with ID.

Hooters: 10 free wings or choice of four other entrees for veterans and active-duty military at participating locations with ID on Monday.

JC Penney: Coupon for $10 off $25 purchase through Monday.

Kohl’s: Coupon for $10 off $25 purchase; expires Monday.

LongHorn Steakhouse Grill Us Hotline: Free grilling advice at 1-855-544-7455 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 28.

Lowe’s Home Improvement: 10 percent off for veterans and their families on military holiday weekends and every day for active military and families with ID.

Macy’s: 20 percent off and earn $10 in free Star Money with purchase through Monday.

Miami Marlins: Free tickets and discounts for the 2018 season.

Miami Museum Month: Free and discounted entry at 25 museums and gardens from the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau; expires May 31.

Miami Seaquarium: Free entry, 50 percent off for family for vets, military, first responders, government employees and FPL workers with ID through Monday.

Mosaic Month: BOGO admissions and discounts at Palm Beach Zoo, Mounts Botanical Garden and other Palm Beach County venues in May.

National Parks Military Pass: Free pass for active-duty military and their families to U.S. National Parks with ID.

Old Navy: $1 flip flops; expires May 28.

Outback Steakhouse: 20 percent off for vets, active duty military, first responders and their families May 24-28.

Rapids Water Park: $5 admission in June with paid admission at the West Palm Beach attraction on Saturday-Monday.

SeaWorld and Busch Gardens: Waves of Honor program offers free entry to theme parks for military and their families with ID through Dec. 31.

Slurpee at 7-Eleven: Text to get a free cold one.

South Florida Adventure Pass: Pay $45 per adult and $35 per child to get unlimited visits to Flamingo Gardens, Xtreme Action Park, Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, Sawgrass Recreation Park and Young at Art Museum through Sept. 30.

Walgreens: 20 percent off for veterans, active duty military personnel and immediate family, including the families of those who lost their lives in service to their country with a Balance Reward Card on May 28.

Zoo Miami: Free admission for veterans, military, first responders and up to six family members get 50 percent off admission on May 25-31.
