Miami Police Department Speaks of Advantages of New T3 Patroller Fleet vs. Segways

Miami Police Officers revolutionize the way they do their jobs using a fleet of nine new T3 Patroller™ vehicles.

COSTA MESA, Calif.--()--www.t3motion.com - T3 Motion, Inc. (NYSE MKT: TTTM) the leading provider of EV technology to consumer, law-enforcement and government markets, announced today that the Miami Police Department has purchased and placed into service a fleet of nine new T3 Patroller™ vehicles to revolutionize the way officers patrol the city of Miami.

“We are very pleased to welcome the Miami Police Department to the growing list of 100’s of the world’s highest profile law enforcement agencies who have adopted our highly efficient and stable line of electric vehicles,” said William Tsumpes, CEO of T3 Motion. “The law enforcement community has become our fastest growing market segment due to the many advantages of our vehicles over two wheeled solutions they’ve tried in the past due to the safety, stability, quality and reliability of our product.

“We now find that many agencies from coast to coast such as the NYPD, Dallas, San Francisco and the Los Angeles Police Departments are able to keep our vehicles in service 24 hours per day using our superior patented state of the art removable battery technology. Other two wheel solutions in the market often only provide approximately 2 ½ hours of service per eight hour shift due to the 4 to 5 hours of charging time required between patrols. Additionally, departments find that T3 vehicles typically pay for themselves within the first six months of service due to the fuel savings vs. standard gas powered vehicles. Our vehicles typically operate on approximately $0.10 per day of standard 120 volt electricity.”

“Really, it's a chariot, cutting edge, cutting edge," said Miami Police Officer Hector Herrera. "Better balance. This, (T3) you can leave it and not worry where you’ve got to lean it against. The Segway, you cannot just leave it." The vehicles will initially be deployed in areas such as downtown Miami and Coconut Grove where the agility of the T3 Patrollers™ will allow officers to do a better job of patrolling these high density, high traffic areas. The Police Department held fundraisers to help purchase the fleet. Officer Herrera closed with, “It's a good thing for the citizens of Miami."
