Tech Data partners with commerce giant Pitney Bowes

Tech Data has announced a partnership with global tech company Pitney Bowes that will see the commerce solutions developer gain access to new customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Pitney Bowes develops software and solutions for commercial applications, including customer information management software, devices and hardware for shipping and mailing solutions, location intelligence and customer engagement data and utilities.

Through the partnership, Tech Data Technology Solutions, formerly Avnet Australia, will support partners with consulting services, training and enablement on the Pitney Bowes software suite.

Michael Costigan, Tech Data Asia-Pacific vice president of marketing education and supplier management, said Pitney Bowes was a good fit within the distributor's solution portfolio.

"We are focused on enabling our partners to drive digital transformation and these solutions do just that by personalising the customer experience across channels, accelerating informed decision-making and managing risk so partners can continuously drive high-growth opportunities," he said.

Nigel Lester, Pitney Bowes managing director of software solutions for Australia and New Zealand, said his company's offering location intelligence and customer analytics and data would be an asset to partners.

“This alliance with Tech Data is a great fit for us as we pursue opportunities in high-growth technologies, including cloud, data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), mobility, and next-generation security," he said.

"We recognised the need to partner with system integrators and influencers with deep skills and vertical expertise to better connect with customers and we feel that Tech Data has the right knowledge, expertise and the reach to complement our business objectives.”
