SAN MATEO COUNTY — Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a pizza parlor in an unincorporated area near Redwood City late Tuesday night.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect walked into the Domino’s Pizza at 100 Fifth Ave. around 11:05 p.m., simulated having a firearm underneath his hoodie and demanded money from an employee, who complied.

Deputies arrived at the scene minutes later and searched the area but did not find the suspect.

The suspect was described as black, about 6 feet tall and 250 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, a black mask and blue gloves. He was last seen running westbound on Fifth Avenue toward El Camino Real.
