A rebound in commodities lifted mining shares to send U.K. stocks rallying from their worst three-day losing streak this year.
Anglo American Plc surged 20 percent, the biggest gain since 2008. Glencore Plc, Antofagasta Plc, Rio Tinto Group, BHP Billiton Plc advanced 10 percent or more, lifting the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up 1.1 percent to close at 5,898.76 in London.
