South Fork fire burns in Lincoln National Forest
Lighting blamed for fire
Lightning sparked a relatively small fire Saturday in the Lincoln National Forest in the area known as the White Mountain Wilderness, fire officials said.The fire broke out in the morning 10 miles northwest of Ruidoso, 3 miles east of the Three Rivers Campground.Firefighters were taken to the area by helicopter to hike into the area to begin extinguishing the flames.KOAT will update this story when new information is available.

Lightning sparked a relatively small fire Saturday in the Lincoln National Forest in the area known as the White Mountain Wilderness, fire officials said.
