Celebrity chef Bobby Flay on racing Hall of Fame board

Celebrity chef and thoroughbred horse owner Bobby Flay has been appointed to the board of trustees of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made Monday by museum president Gretchen Jackson.

Flay has had several stakes winners, including Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner More Than Real. Other standouts owned by Flay include stakes winners Mrs Kipling, Super Espresso, Her Smile, and America.

Flay’s Dame Dorothy won three graded stakes this year, including the Grade 1 Humana Distaff.

Flay also is member of the New York Racing Association’s board of directors.
