According to media reports, Dell has offered to acquire EMC Corp. (EMC) for $33 per share. The offer reportedly includes a combination of cash and a tracking stock in VMware Inc.
EMC climbed around 1:45PM Friday and ended the day with a gain of 0.68 at $27.86 on above average volume. The stock finished at a 2-month high and is now up 1.13 on 973K shares after the bell.
