Looking for a good counter depth refrigerator

I have been looking for a good refrigerator for a while. I looked at DCS, KichenAid, Whirlpool, LG, Samsung etc, and I found out that they are mostly junk or throwaways after a few years. Does anyone make a good refrigerator. Style is not as important then functionality. Please help.

If you want something that will last 20 years, then you are in the wrong category. SubZero and built ins are what you need to be looking at. Not counter depth. The price reflects the quality.

Sub zero has reliability issues , I've been told by those in the industry. Maybe they've improved , I don't know. Our counter depth GE has been trouble free for 12 years. You lose storage space, but ours looks great (we have panels matching our cabinets.

I like my KitchenAid. It has as much usable space as my old 26 CF Samsung. Any problems I've had were user error. A refrigerator is the only appliance for which I buy the extended warranty. BTW, the high end appliances are not necessarily better quality, and when needing repair the fix can take months to accomplish.
