Topsfield Fair: Oct. 2-12. Ticket prices for the 2015 Topsfield Fair are $11 each Oct. 2, 5-8 and $15 each on Oct. 9, weekends, and Columbus Day (Oct. 12). Discount admission tickets are available at topsfieldfair.org through Sept. 28, 2015. General Admission discount tickets can be purchased for only $9, which are good any day during the Fair’s 11-day run. A three-day pass, good any three days, is available for $25. Children under eight with an adult are free. Discounted food vouchers and ride tickets are also available when purchased in advance at topsfieldfair.org.

Saturday, Oct. 3

Public flu vaccination clinic: 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 3, Howe Manning School, 26 Central St., Middleton. Vaccine is for 6 months and older. Vaccinations are free and for the insured and the uninsured. Bring all forms of insurance cards. Vaccinations will be held in the cafeteria. For more information: 978-777-1869. For Howe Manning School and Fuller Meadow School Students, the Middleton Health Department will be conducting in school vaccination clinics in the near future and the dates will be announced.

Sunday, Oct. 4

Geology rocks: 1-3 p.m. Oct. 4, Bradley Palmer State Park, 40 Asbury St., Topsfield. Patrons are invited to learn about geology and about rocks’ long, transformative experience at a one-hour park ramble. $5 parking fee. Attendees are encourages to bring water and sunscreen. Fair Concerts Oct. 4-9

The Grandstand at the Topsfield Fair, running October 2-12, 2015 is once again the place to be to see the area’s best concerts, including:

· Strictly Sinatra Now concert at Topsfield Fair: 2 p.m. Oct. 4-5 and 7 p.m Oct. 5, Topsfield Fairgrounds, 207 Boston St., Topsfield. Strictly Sinatra will present “The Rat Pack” to celebrate Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday, featuring the sights and sounds of “Frank, Dean and Sammy.” Free with fair admission. · April Renzella at Topsfield Fair: 3-5:30 p.m. Oct. 5, Topsfield Fair, 207 Boston St. Boston-based country music singer April Renzella, a Topsfield native, will perform at the Topsfield Fair this fall. · Navy Band Northeast’s Pops Ensemble (Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.) – Comprised of talented professional Navy musicians from across the country, Navy Band Northeast’s Pops Ensemble performs a wide variety of musical styles, specializing in traditional concert band literature, popular standards, jazz and patriotic favorites. Perfect for Military Day at the Topsfield Fair.

· Tony Orlando in Concert (Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.) – Best known for his hit songs, Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree, Knock Three Times, Sweet Gypsy Rose, He Don't Love You, Who's In The Strawberry Patch With Sally, and Steppin' Out (Gonna Boogie Tonight), Tony Orlando was a musical sensation throughout the 1970’s. No entertainer can move and excite an audience like Tony Orlando.

· MKTO (Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.) – They followed up their mega-hit Classic, with Bad Girls and covered the Backstreet Boys’ hit “I Want It That Way” for V Music. See MKTO take over the Grandstand Stage at the Topsfield Fair.

· Clint Black ( Oct. 9, 2015 at 7 p.m.) – Prolific singer-songwriter Clint Black has long been heralded as one of Country music’s brightest stars. To-date, Black has written, recorded and released more than 100 songs. See him perform A Better Man, When I Said I Do, Killing Time, Nothin’ But The Taillights, and many more.

The Cookbook Club: noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 9, Boxford Town Library, 7A Spofford Road, Boxford. The book for this month’s discussion is “Deliciously G-Free” by Elisabeth Hasselbeck. In the Orchard: Remembering Aunt Kitty: 7 p.m. Oct. 15, Topsfield Town Library, 1 S. Common St., Topsfield. Chris Crockett will share stories of his aunt, “Orchard” author Kitty Crockett Robertson.

Sunday, Oct. 18

Topsfield Fall Foliage Race: 1 p.m. Oct. 18, Proctor School, 60 Main St., Topsfield. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton. Online registration ends at noon Oct. 16. The 5-mile and 5K Races begin at 1:30 p.m. and registration is $25 before Oct. 16 and $30 after Oct. 16. Both the 5K and 5-mile will be professionally timed by North Shore Timing Company. The 1.25-mile Fun Run will start at 1 p.m. and registration is $15 before Oct. 16 and $20 after Oct. 16. The 3-Mile Family Fun Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. and registration is $20 and $25 after Oct. 16. Food and drink will be provided for all participants. Fall Foliage Fun Day: Noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 18, Holt Hill, Ward Reservation, Prospect Road, North Andover. There will be a barbecue and guided hikes to the unexplored areas of Ward Reservation, including a beaver wetland, gorge and blue heron rookery. Hikes will begin at 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Family activities will include kite making and flying and lawn games. There will be cider, apple cider donuts, hot dogs roasted over the fire and s’mores. 5th Annual Working to Heal Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. Oct. 22, Danversport Yacht Club, 161 Elliott St., Danvers. Business professionals, nonprofit leaders and politicians will come together to learn more about domestic violence in the community and how Healing Abuse Working for Change works to raise awareness and provide support to those experiencing it. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEENS AND ADULTS: Community Giving Tree is looking for volunteers to help prepare for upcoming toy sales. Volunteers sort, price and organize toys. All sale proceeds go to support our programs to provide basic necessities to children on the North shore. Middle and High school students (grades 7-12) can volunteer after school on Mondays and Wednesday, at 2 DeBush Ave., Middleton.
