The iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (ICLN) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 107,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 30,000. Shares of ICLN were up about 1.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Companhia Energetica DE Mina (CIG), trading up about 1% with over 4.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Solarcity (SCTY), up about 1.9% on volume of over 3.4 million shares. Jinkosolar Holdings (JKS) is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 2.8% on the day, while Covanta Holding (CVA) is lagging other components of the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF, trading lower by about 3.1%.
