NEW ORLEANS - A consistent performance from sophomore Petra Salko highlighted the 2017 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championships for Oregon women's golf, as the Ducks wrapped up the tournament on Monday at English Turn Golf and Country Club.

Due to inclement weather in the forecast for Tuesday, the Ducks played both the second and third rounds on Monday to close out the tournament in New Orleans.

How it Happened: After opening the tournament with a 10-over 298 on Sunday, the Ducks duplicated their first-round total in the second round on Sunday. Oregon closed out its time in New Orleans with a 12-over 300 in the final round to finish 11th overall (298, 298, 300 - 896, +32). Santoso tied for 41st on the individual leaderboard at 10-over (75, 75, 76 - 226).

Freshman Amy Matsuoka bounced back from a 6-over 78 in the second round to finish the day strong with a 3-over 75 in the final round. Matsuoka struggled to start her final round with five bogeys in her first seven holes, but rebounded to shoot 1-under across the last 11 to end the tournament at 11-over (74, 78, 75 - 227). Junior Kelsey Ulep rounded out the Oregon lineup with an 8-over 80 in the second round and a 5-over 77 in the third to finish 18-over (77, 80, 77 - 234).

Quotes: Head Coach Ria Scott
On the team's performance in the tournament...
"The adjustments we needed to make early on were mostly course management, and emotional management for some. They are all things that we can learn from and will easily be addressed."

On Petra Salko...
"We were really impressed with Petra today. On a day that was almost 12 hours long, she didn't look tired for one second. She stayed as strong on the last shot as she was on the first."

On Kathleen Scavo...
"Kathleen's game is really starting to come together. She is really beginning to believe in the work she has put in."

On Cathleen Santoso...
"Cathleen is closer than her scores look; she just keeps burning edges on her putts."

Petra Salko, Sophomore
On her performance...
"I played really solid golf today. 36-hole days are always long and I was able to keep my energy levels up the whole day. I gave myself a lot of birdie chances and stayed patient in both rounds."

Notable: Scavo enjoyed a stretch of four birdies in five holes on the back nine of her second round to push her score down below par … Oregon posted the third-best score on par 3 holes at 3-over … The Ducks struggled throughout the tournament on par 5 holes, going 12-over across the three rounds.

Up Next: The Ducks will take some time on the practice course before heading to Los Angeles for the Gifford Great 8 Match Play on March 13-14.
