NBC 10 is working with the Rhode Island and Massachusetts state police to profile Southern New England's most wanted fugitives.

Dennys Cabrera is wanted for a murder in Providence in 2007.

Police describe him as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with brown eyes and dark hair.

Cabrera, 29, was last living in Providence. He was indicted for murder and assault with a deadly weapon in October 2008.

Cabrera is accused of killing Nairobi Acosta by shooting him in the head and injuring another victim outside an after-hours party at a house on Baxter Street.

"Providence police allege that Dennys Cabrera became enraged when he was denied access into the party. And it's alleged that Cabrera then brandished a firearm and began shooting indiscriminately into a crowd of people outside the house," said state police Lt. Todd Neill, who heads the state's Violent Fugitive Task Force.

During his six years on the run, it was first thought that Cabrera may have taken off to Spain and then Venezuela.

"We talked to a confidential source last year and stated that he's been around. He's back in the United States, and he's possibly living with family," Neill said.

Cabrera may be in New York or Pennsylvania.
