BUYER BEWARE - MICROSOFT ARE CROOKS - FRAUD AND DECEPTION. I made a $91.20 credit card purchase from Direct Buy Microsoft December 2, 2023. I canceled the order within 5 minutes of placing it. I received an email stating that the order had shipped. I received another email stating to refuse/decline the order and I would receive a credit card refund. Order was declined, return to shipper. March 9, 2024, I received an email from Microsoft stating they refuse to refund my credit card account. Microsoft has their merchandise and refuse to refund me. Working with Bank for a Refund.

I received notification from Microsoft that my Hotmail email account storage space was full. Microsoft advised me to upgrade my storage space or create space by deleting large files in my OneDrive. I decided to delete most of the large files. Initially, l was refused access to delete the large files. After several attempts and visits to my phone company for assistance, l was able to delete almost of the large files on the OneDrive. Still has no access. Microsoft has continued to engage in malicious and unethical business practices to force me to purchase a subscription or refused me access to my email account. This is unfortunate and unbelievable! This company is unscrupulous.

I signed up for a free trial and was charged. I have been trying to get my money back but they have the worst technical support team. I genuinely can't get my money back because none of the support systems they have actually work, this company just likes to steal people's money I suppose. I will not be using any Microsoft products ever again unless I receive my money that was stolen from this company.

I canceled my Microsoft Visio Plan 2 on April 2, 2023. I have an image snapshot of the cancellation receipt. However, every month I still get emails saying I am to be billed. On top of this, I received another email on 2/20/2024, that I launched a new Microsoft Visio plan 2. I did not do this. I have had to call my bank several times about these unethical bill charges from Microsoft. I get Microsoft 365 and pay for that, but I am not paying for Microsoft Visio when I can't even use the software application. I try to open Microsoft Visio and it says I need to purchase a subscription. I have an image snapshot of this message. However, I was supposed to have ordered and launched another plan on 2/20/2024. Again, I did not reorder this and I do not want Microsoft Visio. Something is wrong with Microsoft Visio emails and subscriptions.

I have deactivated my Facebook after seeing too many friends get hacked. But, I have temporarily activated it in hopes to post and get some traction about a Microsoft issue that has been ongoing for many months. I purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 PC about a year ago and have loved it, except for a camera issue. After a fresh reboot, the camera works fine. But after a day or two, it starts to lock up and cannot be used for unlocking the device anymore (aka Windows Hello), and instead I have to enter my pin to unlock it.
After a few more days, it ends up completely freezing the PC and shows @BSOD (Blue Screen of Death), with an error code of "iacamera64.sys". Obviously, a non-functioning camera is not acceptable if video conferencing is a required feature, in addition to the inconvenience of not being able to unlock with a feature they promote. But what's worse is when you're working on something and your PC completely locks up w/ the BSOD. I have contacted and interacted with Microsoft over 20 times, and fortunately started to keep a log of our interactions after the 3rd or so, after having followed the troubleshooting directions they supplied.
In contacting Microsoft, they have been friendly, but still have not resolved the issue, and thus have wasted a TON of my time. At one point, they "warrantied" the device, but ended up sending me an inferior device with lower specs. I just so happened to be looking at the About page and noticed the specs, then looked back at my receipt from when I purchased and realized it. Clearly they didn't tell me I would be getting a device with lower specs. All of these details are in the log (specs timestamped for 1/7/24). Hopefully Microsoft will do the right thing and actually provide a resolution, rather than just empty promises.
Below is the log: 9/11/23 - I sent the device in under warranty for issues with the camera. Same Unit Repair Order # **. Leo said that it would the repairs would be warrantied, so in case it did not fix the issue, it would still be taken care of. 10/13 - Received a shipping label for Device Replacement after the repair did not work. Order Number **. 10/26 - Since one of the reps had been communicating with me through my preferred email of ** I did not see the shipping label that had been sent to ** until 10/26. But that rep said it was expired. I later found out that it wasn't expired, since it expires after 30 days, but it was only 13 days at that point.
Cris ** attempted to create a new order, Order number: **. 10/29 - Cris wrote back saying that there was a system glitch and that the order was canceled, possibly due to a tool being updated recently. 10/30 - Mon 10/30/2023 7:11 PM - Cris said, "…We rest assured you that once it's back up and running, we will process the replacement for your Surface Pro 8." 11/4 - Cris asked me to make a new MS account. 11/6 - Cris confirmed that this would contribute to the processing of this order, the replacement of the device.
11/7 - I created a new MS account, ** and informed Cris. 11/10 - I sent the verification code, apologizing since I thought I'd sent it sooner. 11/13 - I emailed Cris again, asking for an update. 11/14 - Started a new chat with a rep - Request # **. I was told that I would be sent a shipping label. 11/15 - After 24 hours, I'd not heard anything, I started a new chat and got connected with Hamid, who ensured that I would receive a shipping label about 24 hours later. Tracking number: **.
12/1 8pm- Chatted w/ Gleza **. Checked on status. Issue was escalated: escalation case number: **. 12/5 - Received the PC (traced back and looked at sign-in history, since I didn't write it down initially) and tested out the functionality over the span of about a week. Found that it was still doing the same as before, with the camera still freezing up.
12/12 9pm - Chatted w/ Gleza ** again. I explained to Gleza: "I have received the PC, which is the same device I had previously. I was told that if they could not fix it, that they would replace it with a new device. This was the 2nd repair attempt made, but the camera is still freezing up." Replacement ordered - Order number: **. 12/15 - Shipped the laptop back. Tracking **. Estimated delivery Wed 12/20.
12/21 - Device shipped. UPS Tracking: ** eta 9pm 12/26. **. Delivered around 7pm 12/26. New Serial: **. 1/1/2024 - The new device started to do the same thing, with the camera locking up. 1/2/2024 9pm - Contacted support: Mar ** said since the issue has been ongoing, we can do a refund or replace with a new Surface Pro 8. I opted for the new, in hopes that it could be resolved. "Within 24-72 business hours you will receive an email from our Extended Support Team about our request for brand new."
1/4/24 4:15pm - Mar replied to my email asking for an update, saying they would contact me. 1/7/24 - I emailed Mar pointing out that I'd just realized that the replacement device they sent was one with LOWER SPECS than I'd purchased, yet nobody even said anything about that. I'd purchased: i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD. I received: i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB. That seems dishonest…
1/11/24 - I emailed again, asking for an update, but no response. 1/15/24 9:50am After posting on social media (FB, twitter), started chat - Case: **. Rafik ** - transferred. Sparshitha H N - Office Accounts and Billing and Office and Windows Up and Running dept - supposedly Windows Team for BSOD support - transferred. Mae ** - Office and Windows Technical Support for desktop apps - "Since you had already underwent the process of replacing your computer with the Surface Department, it is best if I connect you back to them for they have the record on that process and have the right tool and knowledge regarding on this Surface device. Please stay active on the line as I connect you to them." - transferred. Othmane TAHOUR - Was going to transfer me back to BSOD dept. But then just left the chat.

How am I supposed to get my account released reinstalled if you claim it's compromised and the form you tell us to fill out keeps getting sent to me with a notice saying that you are unable to assist me at this time and I need to fill out another Form and try to put all of the information to the best of my ability however you can only do two forms at Max a day. Both forms every time get denied for me even though I put all of the security questions because I'm looking at my Samsung passkey that has all of the answers.
How in the world is a multi-billion dollar company doing this to so many people and telling us to "follow this link, complete this form, this is the only way, this is the only way, humans can make the system but only AI can help you fix it, only AI can help you fix it, only AI can help you fix it, submit, you can only do two forms a day, we cannot help you, sorry your account is lost. It is compromised due to someone trying to get into your account. It is compromised." Blocked. Goodbye. That's it. That's all you guys say. I'm losing my job, my clients and that's all you guys have to say fill out this form. This type of issue can cause medical problems brought on by the stress of all of this. You need to fix your system. This is horrible.

I have a new laptop and I set the browser to Microsoft Star Page. The setup and News is terrible. I’m a MCSE and I don’t think highly of Microsoft anymore. The company has zero innovation. Like Apple they survive on their fans. They are I forcing you into AI or Artificial Intelligence in 2024. Big mistake for them. The solution is to move away from the greedy company and use Linux. That is also the solution with Apple. Get an Android. These two companies did nothing since their heyday. Every Network Engineer says the same thing.

I am very unhappy. I was told I can cancel my subscription and get a refund within 30 days. I cancelled within 30 days and Microsoft will not give me a refund - it just says I cancelled it for the following year starting at the end of 2024. This is not what I want. I was sent an email saying I can get a refund. Microsoft is robbing me. To make matters worst, a world leading tech company does not have a single email you can contact for the company. The only emails they have kick back the emails and say they will not deliver. Crooks.

I’ve tried calling 3x only to speak to an automated system. Each time they said I would be expecting a call from a Microsoft representative within 2 mins. I never received any calls. It’s been well over 16 hours now. So frustrating Also, my Minecoins are all missing and the skins that I bought vanished. I want to fix this probably as my 8 year old son spent his very hard earned money to buy Minecoins.
Microsoft make it extremely difficult to speak to someone about our issues. It’s absolutely insane. It’s almost as if don't want to be reached. I don’t know why so many people like Microsoft. They don’t make things easy. For the past 3 days I’ve been fiddling with the website trying to find answers. Nothing! PS. I did all the trouble shooting they suggested via webpage and nothing worked. Go figure.

I'm a Microsoft CSE since Windows 95. Today Microsoft is a worthless company like Apple. They like Apple haven't been innovative for a very long time. Windows 11 was released for PC gaming. Upgrades and performance are dedicated to games. In 2024 they will most likely release a new operating system like 12. They are greedy. Like Apple they have large followings. Now they are into AI or Artificial Intelligence and they will continue to be stupid with that. If you have a PC try Linux. Linux is free and now used everywhere. The operating system is public and upgraded by the public. It doesn't require printer drivers so you can print on older printers. Android phones are based on Linux.
