Osi Umenyiora appears set to call it a career after 11 years in the NFL.

The veteran defensive end, who hit free agency earlier this offseason after two years with the Atlanta Falcons, is set to sign a one-day contract and retire with the New York Giants, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

Umenyiora spent his first nine seasons in New York upon joining the club as a second-round selection in 2003, appearing in a total of 129 games, making 89 starts and tallying 75 sacks.

The impressive regular-season sack total recorded over that span currently has Umenyiora ranked fourth in team history, behind only Michael Strahan, Lawrence Taylor, and Leonard Marshall.

Umenyiora's presence helped the Giants to field dominant pass-rush units that led to Super Bowl titles in 2007 and 2011. His career comes to an end with a total of 85 sacks, two Pro Bowl appearances, and one First-Team All-Pro honor.
