Bunge Q2 Profit Plunges - Quick Facts

Bunge Limited (BG) reported second-quarter net income available to common shareholders was $72 million or $0.50 per share, compared to $272 million or $1.81 per share in the prior year.

Income from continuing operations plunged to $85 million or $0.50 per share from $272 million or $1.71 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted Net income per share from continuing operations for the latest second quarter was $0.51, compared to $1.76 per share, last year. On average, 13 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.36 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue decreased to $10.78 billion from $16.79 billion last year, while nine analysts expected revenue of $14.94 billion for the quarter.
