113-Room Legacy Suites opens in St. James Parish

DONALDSONVILLE — Midas Hospitality, a St. Louis-based hotel owner and developer has announced the opening of its first Legacy Suites hotel in St. James Parish.

Located at 2275 Highway 70 in Donaldsonville at the base of the Sunshine Bridge, the 113-All Suite hotel is geared for the extended stay traveler and opened this month.

A grand opening ceremony, complete with ribbon cutting, is planned from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 2.

Legacy Suites provides all-suite, apartment style efficiencies and is located near CFI Holdings, Chicago Bridge & Iron Company, Union Pacific, Chevron Oil Refinery, Triad Chemical, Shell Chemical, Excel, Motiva, Nucor Steel,  among others.

“We identified Donaldsonville as an underserved, extended stay, market and have developed a product specific to that niche,” Midas Hospitality Member J.T. Norville said.

The hotel Studio Suites feature one or two queen beds with home-like amenities. Every suite includes Internet access, a 39” LED television with DirecTV line-up, workspace, recliner, full-sized refrigerator, stove-top, microwave and dishwasher.
