Gwyneth Paltrow and Tracy Anderson's Gym Slapped With Lawsuit Over Loud Noise

Gwyneth Paltrow's newly put up gym, which she opened with her business partner, a known celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson was bombarded with complaints over loud and disturbing noise.

The legal action was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday by the Board members of 408 Greenwich Street, where the Tracy Anderson's Studio is currently operating. The plaintiffs are demanding for a peaceful and quiet environment.

According to the filed documents, the plaintiffs claimed that the studio, which is located at the third floor condominium building in Tribeca is causing disturbance to the condo owners due to the constant noise. They also claimed that the gym has brought a lot of negative impact on Joseph Scarpinito, who resides at the fourth floor.

As stated in the documents, Mr Scarpinito is a musician and screenwriter who works from home but the loud noise and vibrations from the studio has been affecting his work as well as his health. "The noise and vibrations have caused him to completely lose control over his sleep and work schedule," the statement said.

The complainants further elaborated that "The classes include 'high-intensity choreography' and unique training tools such as poles, hoops and resistance bands that hang from the ceiling," the suit reads.  Adding that the gym has an "advanced sound system" that disturbs neighbors as early as 5:45 am.

According to Daily News the loft owners are asking for a remedy from Anderson as they want the area to be quiet, they are also asking for a reimbursement for Mr Scarpinito amounting to $300,000 for the lost revenue and sleepless nights. They are also seeking money for the legal fees.

Steven Beltrani spokesperson for Tracy Anderson said, "We have been excellent anchor tenants for 8 years at our space in Tribeca and continue to operate business as we always have." Steven said they are transferring to new studio just a few blocks away from their current location because of this.
