Hack-A-Thon is part of Forbes Under 30 Summit’s Service Day to give back to Local Boston Community
BOSTON (September 27, 2016) – Forbes, in partnership with HP Inc. and with support from Major League Hacking (MLH), the official student hackathon league, announced today it will host a Hack-A-Thon for Good on October 19, 10am-3pm, at District Hall in Boston, bringing together more than 100 innovators of change to tackle challenges posed by rapid urbanization both in the region and globally. The hack-a-thon is part of the Service Day of the Forbes Under Summit in Boston, which runs October 16-19.

Rapid urbanization is shaping future cities and communities. As the global population continues to rise, resources within cities are becoming scarce and urbanization is taking a toll on the environment.
Beginning on October 16 and continuing through October 18, the thousands of young leaders and game changers who are attending Forbes’ Under 30 Summit will have the opportunity to contribute creative solutions to rapid urbanization challenges at HP stations located at the Under 30 Village in City Hall Plaza and the summit’s stages at Faneuil Hall, Harvard Business School, Northeastern University and Emerson College. At each of these stations, attendees can select a problem facing Boston, as well as the global community, and enter their idea to help solve it. Attendees will also be able to vote on their favorite submissions.
The best ideas will be put into action and brought to life at the Hack-A-Thon for Good, hosted by Jon Gottfried, co-founder of MLH, and HP, on October 19, the final day of the Forbes Under 30 Summit.
