AveriSource, a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork, announced the completion of its business rule discovery project with La-Z-Boy, one of the world's leading residential furniture producers, accelerating La-Z-Boy’s IT modernization efforts. La-Z-Boy replaced their aging legacy IT applications with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. To ensure the success of the project within a limited timeframe, La-Z-Boy needed to understand and document more than 30 years of business intelligence within its 500,000+ lines of IBM COBOL code.
AveriSource utilized its iSAT software suite to automate the analysis and decomposition of La-Z-Boy’s source code to quickly provide application workflows, overview maps and business rules. La-Z-Boy’s developers and business analysts used the information generated by AveriSource to ensure that its original business rules were properly replicated in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. AveriSource’s rapid information generation allowed La-Z-Boy to accelerate its IT modernization efforts, saving them both time and money.
