Infinio, a provider of storage acceleration for virtualized data centers, has entered into a strategic partnership with distributor Tech Data. This agreement makes Infinio one of Tech Data’s Advanced Infrastructure Solution (AIS) partners, enabling the company to bring its storage acceleration solutions to Tech Data’s partners that focus on the enterprise.

Bob Skelley, VP of global channel at Infinio, told Business Solutions, “Infinio’s solutions help organizations extend the capabilities of their virtualized data centers and make the most of their infrastructure investments by providing software for storage acceleration that requires no operational changes and no new hardware. Our partnership with Tech Data will only further support Infinio’s channel strategy and extend our solutions to a global enterprise market.”

“Our partnership with Tech Data expands the opportunity to provide our storage acceleration solution to companies worldwide. With the momentum Infinio is seeing in both the channel and among customers, it’s clear the market is eager for a simple alternative to all-flash arrays and other major infrastructure investments,” said Skelley.

According to a Tech Data company statement, Infinio’s storage solutions fill a gap in the market for an operationally non-disruptive, software-only solution to storage performance problems.

The partnership is one of several recently announced by Tech Data, including an expanded agreement with HPE to offer Aruba Networks, an expanded agreement with Brocade to offer vADC platform, and the addition of Mitel Solutions to the Tech Data Solutions Store.
