Police: Teens stole over $1,000 of merchandise from I.F. mall

IDAHO FALLS – Eight teenagers were caught stealing more than one thousand dollars of merchandise from the Grand Teton Mall Wednesday night, according to Idaho Falls Police.

Officers responded to the area around the Grand Teton Mall around 5:30 p.m. after a Macy’s employee reported a group of juveniles had stolen clothes and fled. Officers located the juveniles near Balboa and 17th Street.

Police said they had $1,169 worth of merchandise from Macys, JCPenney, Sears and Aeropostale.

Officers say the teens -ranging from 12 to 15 – were released to their parents or guardian.
