Peter Bilsby will succeed Rupert Atkin as CEO of Validus Holdings Ltd.’s Talbot Underwriting Ltd. subsidiary on March 1, 2016, Validus announced Thursday.
Mr. Bilsby is currently managing director of Talbot.
Mr. Atkin will retire as CEO on Feb. 29, 2016. He will succeed Michael Carpenter the following day as chairman of Talbot. Mr. Carpenter will remain a nonexecutive director of Talbot and a member of the Validus board of directors, Validus said in its statement.
The appointments are subject to customary Lloyd’s of London and regulatory approvals, Validus said in its announcement.
India's Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority has allowed Lloyds of London to set up business in the country, reported NDTV.
