New stores, restaurants coming to Madison malls

Mandarin Express is now open at East Towne Mall, and Torrid is now open at West Towne Mall.  West Towne Mall is also excited to announce Vans, opening this summer, and Kay Jewelers will undergo a remodel.  In addition, construction of H&M, Lucky’s 13 Pub and Flix Brewhouse is underway at East Towne Mall. 

Mandarin Express is a quick-serve Asian concept that makes freshly made dishes with bold flavors and fresh ingredients.  The menu includes appetizers such as cream cheese rangoons, spring rolls and egg rolls; entrées like beef and broccoli, bourbon chicken and pepper steak; and rice and noodles including lo mein, fried rice and steamed rice.  Mandarin Express is now open in a 682 square foot unit in the Food Court at East Towne Mall.

Torrid offers a collection of trendy plus size clothing for women, including the latest apparel, plus size lingerie and accessories, that is inspired by and designed to fit young, stylish women who wear sizes 10 to 30.  From party-ready cocktail dresses and curvy maxi dresses to shirts-and-jeans outfits, Torrid is the best place to find a large selection of hot, hip and trendy plus size fashion styles for women.  The store is now open in a 3,050 square foot unit near Express at West Towne Mall.

Vans has inspired generations of skateboarders since 1966, and has stood for authenticity in youth lifestyle, music and action sports since day one.  The store will offer men’s, women’s, and kid’s shoes, apparel and accessories, skate and snow performance footwear, and surf footwear and apparel.  Vans is scheduled to open this summer in a 2,600 square foot store near Sears at West Towne Mall.

Kay Jewelers is the #1 jewelry store in America, and offers fine jewelry including engagement rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, watches, accessories and personalized jewelry.  Featured brands and collections encompass Neil Lane Bridal, The Leo Diamond, Open Hearts by Jane Seymour, Ever Us, Bulova, Citizen and more.  A complete remodel will start mid-June and will wrap up in August.  Kay Jewelers will operate in a temporary location at West Towne Mall near Swarovski during the construction period.

H&M is one of the world’s largest fashion retailers famous for offering fashion-forward apparel at affordable prices in a sustainable way.  The East Towne Mall location will offer collections for the whole family – ladies, men, and separate “store within a store” sections for accessories.  The store will also carry the H&M Kids collection for newborns to 14 years old.  H&M will occupy more than 21,000 square feet at East Towne Mall between Center Court and JCPenney.  The store is slated to open Fall 2017.

Lucky’s 13 Pub will also join East Towne Mall this fall, occupying almost 6,500 square feet in the Food Court.  The rustic feel and welcoming atmosphere sets Lucky’s apart from the rest.  Lucky’s 13 Pub shares a dedication to exceptional service, with a scratch kitchen providing generously portioned and quality food.  From live music on the weekends, to televisions at every angle, customers will find entertainment combined with daily specials and an extensive Americana menu, exceeding expectations.  Lucky’s 13 Pub will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The East Towne Mall location will be the first location in Wisconsin.  Lucky’s 13 Pub is not affiliated with Lucky’s 1313 Brew Pub on Regent Street in Madison, or Lucky’s Bar & Grill in Waunakee.

Flix Brewhouse is America’s Cinema Brewery – the only first run movie theater in the world to incorporate a fully functioning microbrewery.  By combining these concepts, Flix delivers to your theater seat three of America’s great loves – craft beer, great food and the latest movies.  All stadium seating “dining rooms” are outfitted with the latest high-definition digital cinema projection and sound technologies, wall-to-wall curved screens, cushy high back chairs, and the revolutionary Easy Glider moveable table top.

Flix Brewhouse will brew 9 of their own beers and offer 38 draft beers, an extensive wine selection and a variety of specialty non-alcoholic drinks for guests to enjoy.  The Flix Mix lobby bar and café will be open 7 days a week, no ticket required.  Flix Brewhouse at East Towne Mall will be the company’s 5^th location, and the first in Wisconsin.  The theater is slated to open Summer 2018 and will occupy more than 39,000 square feet on the back side of the mall.
