14 DAY TRIAL // BLU Products, the US company known for its cheap Android smartphones, has just released yet another affordable handset, the Life Max. For the time being, the handset is only available in the United States, but it could be released in Latin America and select countries in South America in the coming months.
What makes the BLU Life Max special is the promise of a long battery life coming from the US-based company, and the low price. BLU has announced that the Life Max is the subject of a promotional offer, but only for a limited time or while supplies last.
Customers can now purchase the BLU Life Max through Best Buy for just $80. The phone's suggested retail price is $130, but consumers benefit from an immediate rebate of $50, so they'll only pay $80.
Moving on to actual specs, the Life Max is far from being impressive, but that's not the point, is it? The main selling point of the smartphone, aside from the low price, is the large 3,700 mAh battery, which is supposed to “make sure you never run out of battery in a single work day.”
On the inside, BLU's affordable smartphone packs a 1.3GHz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, which is complemented by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card).
The Life Max sports a large 5.5-inch Curved Glass display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 267ppi. Camera-wise, the smartphone includes a standard 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera with beautification software and another LED flash.
BLU Life Max comes with fingerprint sensor on the back side and features dual-SIM and 4G LTE support. Obviously, you can only use its LTE speeds on T-Mobile and AT&T networks, as well as MetroPCS, Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, and Cricket.
On top of that, BLU claims that T-Mobile customers will also benefit from VoLTE and HD Voice support. It's also worth mentioning that BLU Life Max ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.
