CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland's own WVIZ-TV will premiere Great Museums Television's documentary "Sound Tracks: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum" with a 9 p.m. airing on Friday, Sept. 4.

The documentary, timed to coincide with the museum's 20th anniversary, is narrated by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Steve Van Zandt, a member of Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band, and will feature interviews, histories and anecdotes by Hall of Famers including Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Ann Wilson of Heart and Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC.

Also featured on the show will be Jann Wenner, founder of Rolling Stone magazine and co-founder of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The show will spotlight some of the key exhibits in the Rock Hall, including Doors vocalist Jim Morrison's Cub Scout uniform and the tap shoes the Everly Brothers wore as boys.

"I think rock and roll is just energy," said Nash in a release about the program.

"The energy of the place grabs you when you walk in the door," said Chesney Doyle, co-executive producer of the show in the same release. "You're surrounded by light, motion, people, fascinating exhibits, and, of course, the music. It's not a quiet museum. The experience engulfs you."

The hour-long program will reprise at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, and 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21. It will also air on WVIZ's WORLD channel at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18; 2 and 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19; and at 5 and 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
