Big job fair Wednesday at Papa John’s

Thousands of positions will be waiting to be filled by at least 65 local employers at the JobNewsUSA.com job fair Wednesday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the stadium’s Brown & Williamson Club.

Opportunities range from entry-level to management positions and are in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, production, accounting, health care, sales, administrative, industrial, skilled trades, printing, IT, marketing, retail, hospitality, collections, customer service, financial planning, transportation, management, education, security and warehousing.

Some of the employers scheduled to attend are Republic Bank, Frito Lay, UPS, Trilogy Health Services, Hosparus, Lantech, NAPA, Challenger Lifts, Horseshoe Southern Indiana, MassMutual Financial, Speed Art Museum, Linak US, Tenneco Automotive, Global Polymers, First Urology PSC, PolyOne Corp, KCC International/KY Comfort Inc., Marriott, Optum, Paradise Tomato, Packaging Unlimited and Walgreens.

“We are sold out and had to turn some employers away because we ran out of space. Hopefully the job seekers come out to take advantage; a lot of good employers are ready to hire,” said Andy Dietz, a spokesman for the event sponsors.

Admission and parking are free. They can enter Gate 6 of the stadium and take the elevator to the Brown & Williamson Club on the third floor. Parking is available in the main lot next to the Red “Cardinal Express” train cabooses.
