As we're getting closer to Mobile World Congress (MWC), more information about the stars of the trade fair continues to surface online.

The latest details on Xiaomi's flagship smartphone, the Mi5, have just been offered by none other than the company's president Lin Bin.

It looks like Lin Bin posted the first camera samples taken with Xiaomi Mi5's main camera, so this isn't a leak anymore but a confirmation of how good the shutter might or might not be.

Even though the pictures have gone through a compression process before being published on Weibo, we're still able to tell that they are very good.

There aren't any blurry part or noisy areas, and the color accuracy and contrast are very good as well. But the stunning fact is that the picture's subject is a bird that was caught in mid-flight.

For a camera to be able to capture such a good image of a moving subject, it needs a very fast autofocus feature, as well as great accuracy.

Laser autofocus and OIS help improve picture quality

Although the information hasn’t been confirmed yet, Xiaomi Mi5 is rumored to include an impressive 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash.

We also believe that the main camera will allow users to capture 4K video. There are no details on the sensor inside the shutter, as Xiaomi might use either Samsung's ISOCELL or Sony's Exmor camera sensor.

If you're not up to date with the latest info on Xiaomi Mi5, then you might want to know the smartphone will sport a full HD (1080p) display.

Also, the flagship will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.

Xiaomi has already confirmed the Mi5 will be officially unveiled at MWC 2016, in Barcelona, Spain, on February 24.
