Books Canon "Complete Locations"

Well, Graphics is neither a narrative medium nor a reference book. It's... a thing. It doesn't matter.

BUT, anyway, the point is: Complete Locations Mk II, yay!

 

Or simply, that Disney does not tell them as much as it ought to.

What really disappointed me is that it had so much potential - which was spoiled by the inclusion of material that didn't come from G-canon.

 

Why would anyone care what Beru's midi-chlorian count is? I've spent a lot of time thinking about Star Wars (like it's what I was doing in high school when everyone else was discovering sex, drugs and alcohol (I did discover rock 'n' roll, at least)) and this is honestly something I've never given a rats rump about. It's never occurred to me to care.

 

If the cover image is any guide (even if it's only a work in progress and not final cover), the bonus locations will include Rey's AT-AT Home.

I'm hoping for Starkiller Base - size, confirmation that it moves - confirmation that it does use dark matter and isn't purely "sun-draining" with no other details, etc.

 

Lelal's breaking into a cold sweat every time that book gets mentioned now.

Can't wait to see what happens when they make another like it. And you know they will.

We could always carry on the debate about "is there anything good in this book" in the Star Wars: Graphics thread.

The planet sizes given seemed to match up well to The Essential Atlas as I recall.


Maybe Complete Locations II will give planet sizes as well - Cloud City section having a Bespin sidebar, Death Star II section having an Endor sidebar, and so forth?

 

If they threw in somethings from Clone Wars or Rebels I'd be happy. Even if it's just putting things that popped up in CW into the Jedi Temple spread.

This all seems a bit like BS, yet I'm 100% on board with the idea that Lando has a slightly above-average connection to the Force that just manifests as charm.

 

Padme being somehow stronger in the Force than the average person (but not sensitive to it) was present in the Star Wars Saga Edition D20 roleplaying game, at least.

 

Why wouldn't there be an R-22 in the Yavin hangar? They're all over Rebels.

I could see them using the newcanon Death Star figures, instead of trying to recanonize Luceno's. Though maybe the energy figure for the Executor's reactor, will stay.

 

Gonna be sad if Naga Sadow is not referenced on the Massassi Base page. We have Massassi slaves building it 5000 years ago, but will their master still be Sadow?

 

Maybe he'll become Darth Naga Sadow?

 

I would like 'Darth' to be the official title for all Sith, moving forward, but we already have "Lord Momin", so maybe it's like the EU version with oddball Sith naming?

Then again, Darth Momin and Darth Sadow could both be alternate titles, as well.

 

Truthfully, the one thing I've wanted from the moment I even HEARD about Starkiller Base, to say nothing of seeing it in action, is a cutaway view of the thing, right down to was the planetary core. You could never make out individual levels at that scale, of course, so they should also have another page including just the command base area and a third including just the oscillator facility. If they needed cutaway views like these for the Death Star, how much more necessary would they be for Starkiller Base, which is an order of magnitude larger in size?

 

Part of me would prefer if the Massassi civilization was a creation of the Celestials rather than the Sith. The KJA Sith and the Rakata felt like wierd hybrids of ancient aliens and modern civilizations.

 

I'm looking forward to Naboo (the Elders and the prominence of the color red) and Onderon (will likely appear in Rogue One).

 

I remember a Gungan holding a red banner in the ROTJ SE ending, but are there other places where they use red color?
