Deutsche Bank Starts Ecopetrol SA (EC) at Hold

Deutsche Bank initiates coverage on Ecopetrol SA (NYSE: EC) with a Hold rating.

Analyst Alexander Burgansky said, "Ecopetrol benefits from a near-perfect regulatory environment, the sector’s highest profitability and cash flow per barrel, and short-term visibility of production growth. This is offset by low reserves life, the high sensitivity of the company’s earnings to the oil price, and high relative valuations."
