Sysco Removing ‘Appert’s’ Signage on Building, Trucks

ST. CLOUD - The familiar Appert's trucks, and building, are getting new signage. Sysco bought Appert's here in St. Cloud back in December of 2012.

President Mike Pilkington says they're now beginning the public phase of the name change, which will gradually happen over the next couple of months. Pilkington says, while they're fully implementing the Sysco name, nothing else will change. The retail store is staying at their Highway 10 location, and the Appert's products will still be available, so the Appert's brand will live on.

Appert's was founded in 1935, and was family owned until it was sold nearly three years ago.
