NEW DELHI: Chinese technology giant Lenovo has finally taken the covers off its latest flagship smartphone -- Vibe X3.
Successor to the Vibe X2 smartphone, Lenevo Vibe X3 is available in two two storage options -- 32GB and 64GB. Along with this, the company has also launched a variant called the Vibe X3 Youth. All three smartphones feature a fingerprint sensor on the back and support microSD cards of capacities up to 128GB.
The Vibe X3 smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920p) display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches. It is powered by the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM. On the imaging front, the smartphone comes with a 23MP back camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, phase detection autofocus and 4K video recording and 8MP front camera.
It is backed by a powerful 3,600mAh battery with QuickCharge 2.0 support. For connectivity, the dual-sim smartphone supports 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB.
While the Lenovo Vibe X3 Youth smartphone features the same display as the Vibe X3 it differs a little on the hardware front. Vibe X3 Youth smartphone packs a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 2GB RAM. It sports a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery.
The three Lenovo smartphones feature Dolby Audio, three TI OPA1612 amplifiers, and Sabre 9018C2M DAC for enhanced sound. Additionally, they also have a Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec to handle noise and echo.

On the design front, Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 Youth mark a huge departure from the layered design that the company introduced a year ago with Vibe X2. Instead of the 'layers' and sharp corners, the new Lenovo Vibe smartphones sport a metallic body, rounded edges and curved corners.
All the models are available for pre-orders in China and are priced at CNY 2,499 (32GB model), CNY 2,999 (64GB model) and CNY 1,889 (Youth variant). The company has not announced about the availability of the new smartphones in other countries.
