  • Briana L. Silva, 19, of the 300 block of Axtell Avenue, was arrested Tuesday at the Boulevard and Elmer Street and charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was wanted on warrants and held in Cumberland County Jail.
  • Benjamin Guadalupe, 26, of the 200 block of North East Avenue, was charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia at the Boulevard and Elmer Street on Tuesday. Guadalupe was wanted on warrants and held in Cumberland County Jail.

Internet 'date' starts with armed robbery

  • Joseph K. Mosley, 21, of the 500 block the South East Boulevard, was arrested Wednesday at the Days Inn on Landis Avenue and charged with contempt. He was turned over the Hamilton Township Police Department.
  • Irving Maisonet, 25, of East Grape Street, was arrested Thursday and charged with shoplifting more than $510 worth of tools from Home Depot. Maisonet was wanted on two Vineland Municipal Court warrants. He was held in Cumberland County Jail on $1,751 bail.
  • Axel Hernandez, 33, of Wildwood, was arrested Jan. 12 in the 1200 block of Landis Avenue on a simple assault and theft charges originating from Vineland Police. He was held in Cumberland County Jail.
  • George Gardner, 35, of Robin Road in Newfield, was charged with criminal trespassing after police were dispatched to checkout a vehicle parked near two vacant homes in the 1300 block of Old Lake Road on Thursday. Gardner was found inside one of the residences. He was wanted on a Hamilton Township warrant and was held in Cumberland County Jail.
  •  Vincent Thompson, 50, of the 100 block of Yelkca Avenue, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated after his vehicle struck a mailbox and concrete pillars in the area of Walnut Road and Lilac Drive. Police located his vehicle at Berkshire Apartments with heavy damage and deployed airbags. Thompson was issued summonses for reckless driving and leaving the scene of a collision.

Judge rules accused killer Monell must remain in jail

  •  A Ford Explorer owner reported a small pink change purse, containing about $5 in change, was stolen from her vehicle, which was parked in the 500 block of North West Avenue on Friday.
  • Fateen K. Dawson, 36, of the 500 block of East Mulberry Street in Millville; Arthur L. Thompson, 37, of the 700 block of South Valley Avenue; and Antonio L. Figueroa, 33, of the first block of Howard Street, were arrested Friday at the Contemporary Apartments in the 2000 block of East Chestnut Avenue and charged with defiant trespassing. Figueroa was wanted on five Vineland Municipal Court warrants and held in Cumberland County Jail. Thompson was charged with possession of crack cocaine.
  • John M. Evans Jr., 36, of the 900 block of Mars Place, was arrested Jan. 16 after an incident in the 700 block of Oxford Street and charged with harassment and violating a temporary restraining order. He was held in Cumberland County Jail.
  • Vincent Tonetta, 51, of the 2800 block of Dante Avenue, was issued a careless driving ticket after a rear-end collision at Park and Valley avenues on Jan. 11.
  • Reginald C. Jones, 39, of Kings Drive in Bridgeton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a rear-end collision Jan. 15 at Landis Avenue and Route 55. Jones was uncooperative and continued to yell about his vehicle, police said. Police, detecting the scent of alcohol of Jones’ breath, conducted field sobriety test. After failing the first test, Jones told police he couldn’t do anymore and he was arrested. He was issued summonses for careless and reckless driving.
  • A driver struck a deer on Hance Bridge Road, just north of Palermo Avenue, on Jan. 15. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.
  • Belinda Lopez, 53, of the 400 block of Wood Street, was cited for careless driving after a two-vehicle collision Jan. 15 at Delsea Drive and Park Avenue.
  • Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that damaged a Honda Accord in the parking lot in the 500 block of East Elmer Street on Jan. 11. Police collected surveillance video from the area that they plan to review.
  • Police are looking for the driver a silver pickup truck that struck a parked car, ripping off its front bumper, in the parking lot of Dollar Tree on West Park Avenue on Jan. 16.
  • Damaris M. Vasquez, 29, of the first block of South Myrtle Street, was issued a careless driving ticket after a rear-end collision at Chestnut and Valley avenues on Jan. 16.
  • Wanda Toledo, 38, of the 800 block of North Main Road, was cited for failure to maintain lane after a Jan. 16 collision at Union Road, north of Carteret Street.
  • Both drivers were cited after a Jan. 13 collision at Landis and Lincoln avenues. Emilie Lebron, 25, of the 700 block of Grape Street, was ticketed for an expired registration. Thomas T. Bogan, 33, of the 500 block of North West Avenue, was issued summonses for careless driving and an expired registration.
  • Donna L. Peters, 46, of the 1800 block of North Delsea Drive, was cited for parking in a handicapped stall after a collision Jan. 13 in the Wawa parking lot on North Delsea Drive. Peters, who did not have handicapped tag or placard, was pulling into a handicapped parking stall that was already occupied by a vehicle, according to police.
  • Several residents in the area of the 2200 and 2300 block of South Lincoln Avenue reported their mailboxes were damaged by a vehicle on Jan. 13.
  • A 66-year-old man was taken to Inspira Medical Center Vineland after he was struck by a vehicle at Chestnut Avenue and Second Street on Jan. 13. The driver told police the pedestrian walked out in front of his car and he couldn’t stop in time. The pedestrian, who sustained minor head and back injuries, told police he didn’t remember being hit by a car. No summons was issued.
  • Caterina Carozza, 46, of the 500 block of North Valley Avenue, was ticketed for driving without headlights after a Jan. 13 collision at Main Road and Singer Lane. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver and his passenger also went to the hospital.
  •  Nicholas S. Delouise, 27, of the 1100 block of Garry Avenue, was cited for using a cellphone while driving. DeLouise told police he was trying to beat a friend home from Philadelphia on Jan. 14. Delouise called him on his cellphone as he was turning onto Gettysburg Drive and accidentally ran over a mailbox, according to police reports. Delouise told police he would replace the mailbox.
  • Clarence K. Chadwick, 61, of the first block of West Chestnut Avenue, was cited for careless driving, using a cell phone will driving and driving on a suspended license after a Jan. 14 collision at Chestnut and West avenues. Chadwick told police his front tooth was knocked out during the crash but declined medical attention. The other driver was taken to the hospital after complaining of back pain. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
  • Lynn Walsh, 53, of 2300 block of Vine Road, was ticketed for careless driving, no registration, no insurance and leaving the scene of a rear-end accident after a Jan. 14 collision at Brewster Road and Landis Avenue. Walsh initially pulled over and spoke with the other driver before pulling away. The other driver gave police the license plate and driver description. Police were able to track the vehicle to the Vine Road address. When an officer arrived at address, a resident there contacted Walsh by cellphone and relayed the message that Walsh left the scene because there was no damage to the vehicles. When told police were at the house waiting to talk to her, she said she was going to get her hair done. About six hours later, Walsh came to the police station, where she was issued the summonses and her car was towed.
  • Lawrence R. Stiles, 24, of the 400 block of Petunia Lane, was issued a careless driving ticket after a Jan. 14 collision at Delsea Drive and Sherman Avenue.
