CASPER, Wyoming (October 15, 2015) - Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE), a leading provider of news, information and advertising in 50 markets, has promoted CasperStar-Tribune Operations Director Thomas Biermann to publisher of the newspaper. Biermann began his career with the Star-Tribune in 2007 as circulation director and most recently served as sales and marketing director.

Biermann is formerly the general manager of the European and Middle East editions of Stars and Stripes, a daily circulation newspaper delivered to United States military bases throughout Europe and the Middle East including Iraq and Afghanistan. He also held leadership positions with the Standard Times in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the Oshkosh Northwestern, the Muscatine Journal andthe Billings Gazette.

Biermann succeeds Jason Adrians who left the Star-Tribune earlier this year to serve as news director for Post-Crescent Media in Wisconsin.
