The Gamma Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, is working to find a solution to the Crisis in Black Education.
As part of it's national platform, the organization is hosting a forum at Lynchburg College to discuss the issue. Event Coordinator Eugene Tweedy says it's not just a nationwide issue, but it's also affecting students in Lynchburg.
"Because the achievement gap hasn't closed. It's closing incrementally. There are changes. They have taken steps to address a lot of the issues, but we have a crisis," says Tweedy.
Tweedy hopes members of the community will come out so they can take steps toward ending the crisis.
