Potash Corp Of Saskatchewan Inc. Bottom Line Retreats 11% In Q3

Potash Corp Of Saskatchewan Inc. (POT.TO) revealed a profit for third quarter that decreased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $282 million, or $0.34 per share. This was lower than $317 million, or $0.38 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.38 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 6.7% to $1.53 billion. This was down from $1.64 billion last year.
