Indiana Michigan Power Updates Outage Situation

Indiana Michigan Power says 830 customers on the south side of St. Joseph have no electricity due to a problem at a substation Sunday evening. Those 830 customers represent nearly all of the Berrien County customers who are without power since storms rolled through the area on Saturday. In all, I&M says they have 909 in the dark in the county as of just after 9 a.m. Power is expected to be restored in St. Joseph by 2 p.m., and the rest of the county by 3 p.m. tomorrow. The St. Joe outage is along Niles Avenue from just south of Hilltop to the American Red Cross building just past Interstate 94.
