West Texas Resources Inc. appointed William A. Sawyer as company president, CEO, and a member of the board of directors, the company said Oct. 20.
Sawyer replaces J.D. Kerr as CEO, but Kerr will remain as the CFO.
Sawyer was a founder of—and the president and CEO of—Lucas Energy Inc., and also was a member of its board.
Sawyer has more than 39 years of experience as a business leader, petroleum engineer and operations manager in the oil and gas business.
West Texas Resources Inc. is based in Frisco, Texas.
