Manchester United will face their toughest test of the pre-season tour when they face the Treble winning Barcelona team on Saturday in the International Champions Cup and frankly it doesn't get tougher for the Red Devils.

This Barcelona team swept everyone before them last season as Lionel Messi, Neymar and former Liverpool striker ran riot. Man Utd won the pre-season cup last season when they beat Liverpool 3-1 and will be hoping for a positive result against the best team in the world right now.

Meanwhile, Barcelona will be without Neymar and Lionel Messi. It seems likely that Manchester United will be without Angel Di Maria, who's supposedly on his way to PSG after spending just one season at Manchester United.

Despite signing the likes of Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, Man Utd are still fourth favourites for the 2016 Premier League title behind Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal, according to betting firm Paddy Power.

It's a sign of the depths to which Manchester United has fallen that the last time the two teams met competitively, it was in the UEFA Champions League final in 2011 when Barcelona beat them 3-1. They reached their nadir under David Moyes when they came 7th in the league and missed out on the Champions League for the first time in three years.

The match will be paid at the Levi's Stadium which has a capacity of 68,500 and is the home stadium of the San Francisco 49ers. The match will start on Saturday 25 July at 9 PM BST (1:30 AM IST).
