HomeStreet Bank has announced the opening of its second Ballard-area retail deposit branch at 5900 24th Ave NW, where it will provide banking services and products for customers and businesses, along with mortgage and small business lending, and financial advising.
The bank’s “Ballard on 24th” location takes over the former Ballard Escrow space, which was vacated by the business in April 2013 after its move to 8746 Mary Ave NW.
Maggie McKelvy, the new branch’s manager, previously managed the nearby Ballard/Crown Hill branch for 13 years, and said she knows the area and its people well.
“The Ballard community is thriving, and we are thrilled to become a greater part of it and to increase our accessibility and the services we provide with our new location,” McKelvy said in a press release.
Derryl Willis, FVP and regional banking manager, said in the release that McKelvy has been very involved in local community events including the Ballard Seafood Fest, and Ballard Jazz Festival, along with other community programs and activities
“Her heart is fully in her work and her community, and I feel we have exactly the right person to build and manage this new branch,” Willis said.
The new branch is HomeStreet’s second Ballard location, joining the branch at 8050 15th Ave NW.
The new branch is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
