While the Android smartphone world has been awash with Huawei and LG Nexus rumors, Blackberry rumors and even Nokia rumors, they are not the only companies who are expected to be entering the Android smartphones wars soon enough. One of these additional companies is Nextbit who announced back at the end of July that they will be releasing their first smartphone and that it will be announced on September 1st. Which is tomorrow. Not to mention, over the last few days the company has been building up to the launch event by routinely releasing teaser tweets about the device. Well, the latest on the Nextbit smartphone, is that tomorrow will not just be the date it is unveiled. According to emails be sent out to those who signed up for early news, the Nextbit smartphone will also immediately be able to be pre-ordered from tomorrow, September 1st.
This is a little on the surprising side as it does clearly highlight that the Nextbit smartphone is probably pretty much read to ship. Seeing as the details have been kept under very close wraps and essentially, nothing is known about what to expect from the smartphone, it does seem surprising that it is already ready to go. Of course, as these are just pre-orders, it could be possible that the pre-order status will remain in place for some time and Netbit will use this period to gauge interest. Not to mention with IFA beginning this week and the Nexus smartphones expected to be unveiled and launched in the coming weeks, it might be a wise move on the part of Nextbit to try and secure as many early pre-orders as possible.
As mentioned, very little is known about the upcoming smartphone from Nextbit, although, it has been said that it will come in at a more affordable price than a number of the other flagship options that are currently available. Therefore, it is being expected that this smartphone will come in as a max $400 priced device. Either way, if you are waiting so see what the Nextbit smartphone will offer, then tomorrow is the day.
