Everyone loves the creativity that minor league teams put into their promotions, whether it’s Bob Ross Night in Daytona Beach or Mets and Cubs affiliates settling the New York vs. Chicago pizza debate. (The Tim Tebow used dirt giveaway was just weird.)

Now we’ve got another hilarious promotion coming from the Eau Claire Express, a member of the Northwoods collegiate summer league. With Evergreen Funeral Home serving as the sponsor for Friday’s game, the Express decided to have a unique promotion that fit the company: a preplanned funeral giveaway.

Of course, they’ve got a good sense of humor about it. Otherwise it’d just be weird and depressing.

This is much more fun (and, let’s face it, useful) than another bobblehead or baseball cap.
