The Gap and Gap Kids stores at the Promenade Shops are shutting their doors Sunday.

Shoppers can save big over the weekend with sales of 40 percent off regular priced items and 75 percent off clearance items in both stores.

Gap is located next to Lucky Brand while Gap Kids is next door to L.L. Bean.

The stores opened in the Upper Saucon Township shopping center in January 2014.

It appears the stores are part of the 175 locations that the Associated Press reported the retailer would be shuttering by the close of the fiscal year. The company is also slashing 250 jobs at its headquarters.

The cuts are expected to save Gap Inc. about $25 million a year, the Associated Press reported in June.

Gap shoppers will still be able to visit stores at the the Lehigh Valley and Palmer Park malls.
